Our Answers
How are pre-procedure checks performed?
Tour Médico will list the pre-surgical tests to be done near the patient’s accommodations. The relevant test results will be delivered to Tour Médico, together with the photos of the areas subject to surgery, following Tour Médico’s directions
What are the pre-surgery tests needed? And which tests are covered in full by the procedure price?
Any tests required by Tour Médico’s medical team will be based on the type of procedure to be performed. The costs of such tests are not included in the total cost of the procedure because they can easily be done in the patient’s country of residence. Broadly speaking, the main tests are blood and heart tests. Other specific tests may be later added as required by Tour Médico’s medical team. Such tests are necessary to determine whether the patient may undergo a procedure in the absence of clinical contraindications, allowing the surgeon and the anesthesiologist to complete the patient’s medical history. Blood tests: hemogram, glycemia, prothrombin, blood clotting time, Kaolin Partial Thromboplastin Time (KPTT), and HIV. Heart Tests: EKG (electrocardiogram), cardiovascular exam, and surgical risk assessment.
Does the patient need to send photos of the areas subject to surgery?
Sending photos of the areas subject to surgery is absolutely necessary to determine whether a procedure is feasible, and to give professional advice providing the best solution to the problem in question. The type, nature and number of photos to be delivered will be requested on the basis of the procedure to be performed.
Salire
Once the patient has arrived in Argentina, how is the procedure specifically organized?
When the patient arrives at the airport in Buenos Aires, there will be a driver waiting to take them to the clinic. Once there, an escort interpreter will be ready to assist the patient in communicating and going through all the preliminary formalities. Once the surgical procedure is over, and when the performing doctors consider it appropriate, the patient will be free to go to their hotel. On the days following the procedure, as required by their doctors, the patient will have to see them for post-surgery control, accompanied by their escort interpreter.

How can the procedure be paid for so as to be financially covered until the time the procedure is performed?
Our payment system has been designed to safeguard the interests of both parties with transparency and accurateness for the duration of their relationship. No charges or fees or expenses will be charged by Tour Médico in the initial phase which includes the delivery of tests and photos as well as the surgeon’s first assessment. Only when Tour Médico confirms the patient that a procedure is feasible and determines its final cost, will it be necessary to advance 20% of that amount as acceptance and confirmation of the surgeon’s assessment. Both parties will then agree on the time period or date to be scheduled for the procedure, and proceed to organize the patient’s trip. The outstanding balance (80%) will be paid directly to the clinic.
How much time should be devoted to scheduling and performing a procedure?
The whole process usually takes a month or a little bit more. We strongly recommend our patients that they take the necessary precautions concerning airline and hotel reservations.
Up What are the documents needed to enter Argentina?
