Our job involves:
• Enabling a surgical procedure to be performed by fully-qualified surgeons with impeccable track records, under the best available conditions, while satisfying all of our patients’ needs.
• Turning a patient’s stay in a clinic room into a different experience such as being on vacation in a relaxed and pleasant environment, while minimizing as much as possible the emotional impact usually associated with a surgical procedure.
• Helping the patient-tourist with any technical, medical, bureaucratic or organizational problems that may come up, so that they only have to worry about their well-being. We would like to point out that a plastic surgery procedure of any kind is, in most cases, a real need for the patient. This fact has been statistically proven on the basis of the countless procedures performed by our medical staff, thus changing the preconception that such procedures are driven by the patient’s narcissistic desire. The following considerations have come up from casual talks among colleagues from different countries and with different work experiences:
• Patients that choose to undergo a plastic surgery procedure experience it as something causing them emotional suffering, regardless of the physical aspect. Apart from the fact that the patient should stay at a clinic, a procedure generally makes socializing difficult, due to the inevitable and sometimes obvious post-surgical conditions (including dressings, bandages, motor limitations at the beginning of the post-surgical period, etc.). This makes it uncomfortable for patients to appear before acquaintances and friends, to the extent that they may lock themselves up in their homes until their long-awaited recovery.
• Patients undergoing plastic surgery procedures frequently choose to have them scheduled during their vacations or during a leave of absence. Aesthetic tourism offers them the chance not to sacrifice the time period devoted to their relaxation and pleasure.
• Regarding the economic aspect, these patients are also faced with the decision of choosing between taking their vacations or having a plastic surgery procedure, sacrificing one option for another.
• It is a well-known fact that the cost of living in some countries is significantly low. This does not necessarily mean less quality, as in some countries the standard of the services rendered is equal to, if not higher than, European or U.S. ones. This is simply due to the functioning of the different regional economies and the current exchange rates that favor some currencies over others.
